A degree in Secondary Education (7-12) at Geneva College prepares you to teach middle school and high school biology, chemistry, English, math, physics, or social studies. With courses taught by accomplished faculty, you learn and apply teaching fundamentals by joining in-person classroom learning experiences your first year in the program. Pennsylvania is a member of NASDTEC the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification. This membership assists in clarification of reciprocity from one state to another. Geneva’s Education program meets Pennsylvania’s educational requirements for licensure. Geneva College announces that the National Science Foundation has awarded a $1 million Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship grant for a new Geneva Preparing STEM (GPS) Teachers program for pre-service teaching students in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).
Geneva College hosts the STEM Symposium for Undergraduate Research from 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in Old Main. Chemistry Professor John Stahl, PhD, will speak on “Lessons Learned in Research: Observations from Conducting Chemistry Research for over 40 Years,” followed by a student poster session.
